Castles & Crusades Society member, Duke Omote has created some kick ass house rules for Castles & Crusades, which he calls Advanced Castles & Crusades. One of the great features of C&C is that it is very easy to house rule the hell out of it. Omote demonstrates this with style with these rules, giving his take on elements of other editions of D&D. Thanks Frost for posting some of this Advanced C&C stuff. When C&C first came out, pretty much all of the people I gamed with were reluctant to give up their feats, skills, etc. I had to devise a way to get diehard 3E players to even try C&C, and this was how I tried to do it. Funny enough, when we finally did start playing C&C regularly, we dropped many of these advanced C&C rules (but kept skills, as we play a more skill-based C&C game). Luckily enough, many players and GMs on the internets found these rules and started playing with them. From time to time I get some really great feedback on how these rules work in their game too!
